• Taking photographs at a wedding involves cooperation between those being photographed and the photographers. We will do our best to help you look relaxed and happy in the photographs but we require your assistance and concentration to obtain the best results. If you don’t feel comfortable in a particular pose, let us know so that we can make an alternative arrangement. We try and work quickly and informally at a wedding so that the photographs can be taken in a reasonable time and everyone is then free to enjoy the rest of the day. In order for us to work quickly we need your help to ensure that guests are available when required. We will try to take the major groups early so that people are not hanging around waiting.
  • If you are having photographs taken at the bride’s home before the wedding then we will typically arrive one hour before the start time of the ceremony. It is important that everyone is ready to be photographed and that any room being used is clear of anything that you do not want included. These photographs usually take around 20 minutes.
  • We will arrive at the wedding venue thirty minutes before the start of the ceremony to photograph the ushers, groom, best man and arrivals.
  • Please allow five minutes before the start of the ceremony for photographs of the arrival of bridesmaids and bride. If the bridal party arrives late we may not be able to take these photographs before the ceremony.
  • A typical wedding service lasts about 35 minutes, a little more or a little less depending upon the number and length of hymns, also if you’re having a Nuptial Mass then allow a further half an hour.
  • Please allow five minutes for your guests to leave the church before any group photographs start.
  • After the ceremony we take a selection of photographs of the principals and guests, this usually takes about 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the number of guests and number of photographs requested.
  • Do allow sufficient travel time from the ceremony to the reception.
  • If you are having additional photographs between the wedding and reception at a park or other location, please allow an extra 15 minutes plus the additional travel time. If you intend going to an additional location please let us know as soon as possible and if appropriate seek permission from the local authority or site owners, photographs at parks are usually only permitted if the park is not being used for a function and then on a first come basis. It is essential to let the car providers know well in advance what your plans are.
  • At the reception we usually take posed photographs of the cake cutting and if the venue is suitable some natural window lights of the bride and groom, this usually takes about 10 minutes.
  • Unless you have selected additional photography that will conclude our services on the wedding day.
  • If you have any special requirements or would like any further information to help with the planning of your special day please contact us.
