More work today on album designs, quite a bit more to do!
Andy Turner, a photographer friend pointed out that the RSS feeds for my blog weren’t working, after a bit of searching and tweaking I’ve fixed the problem 🙂 – thanks Andy!
More progress with moving my on-line shopping cart to SECPay for secure payment processing, I received my e-merchant account details from Streamline this morning and completed the SECPay registration with those details. I’m currently using PayPal and I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with the payment notifications from them having the purchaser’s email address set in the from field rather than a PayPal email address!!
A quiet evening relaxing.
The weather the last few days has turned decidedly colder with frost on the lawn in the mornings.
A fairly quiet day a trip to the bank to pay in cheques.
I’m currently working on a number of album designs for Jorgensen E series albums.
A very nice day, we went to Leekes (the out of town department store) in Pontyclun and the retail centre in Talbot Green.
A quiet day overall.
Called over to see my mum this morning – no leaking taps!
Went with Paul to buy a new battery for his Toyota Surf and then fitted it in, he now has a truck that starts!
David has his car working again and called in this evening.
Changed the washer in my mum’s bathroom tap.
Food shopping at Tesco in Talbot Green.
A new version of software for my on-line viewing gallery was released today and I’ve completed the integration and I’m on to the detailed testing. A few minor issues to resolve but it’s looking very good so far.
Posted the parent album design to my web site for Stuart & Karen to approve. Karen replied very quickly that they were great so I just need to prepare the files for printing by the lab.
Lunch at John & Ida’s in Pontypridd, roast beef, apple pie and custard.
Had a telephone call from my mum this evening, she couldn’t turn off the cold water tap on the hand basin in the bathroom, I popped over there and turned off the valve on the supply to the tap, I’ll need to change the tap washer tomorrow.
I received Stuart & Karen’s album orders today, two parent albums and a Jorgensen E series album. I’ve completed the initial designs for the parent albums.
BT’s broadband system failed this afternoon, apparently right across the UK, fortunately it was only out for an hour or so.
Very sad to hear the news that Patrick Lichield died today, he was a great ambassador for photography.
My telephone line appears to be working again although BT’s fault tracking web page is still showing the fault as waiting to be allocated to an engineer.
Had a browse around Comet and bought a Linksys PAP2-UV to connect to Vonage for a subscription of £9.99 a month all local and national calls to the UK and Ireland are free, with mobile calls between 5p/min at weekends, 15p/min evenings and 20p/min daytime and very low rates on international calls. It has voicemail, conference calls, caller display, call waiting, call diversion and uses any standard touch tone phone(s). It connects to the broadband router and doesn’t require any installation – a piece of cake! It means we have a second telephone line at a fraction of the cost of an additional BT line. Call quality is excellent as well.
