I’m still waiting for the insurance documents for the Nissan Patrol to arrive in the post so I can tax it and collect it. I’m having a very annoying problem with the main pc, the latest updates from Symantec live update are causing severe problems with the status application continuously accessing the hard disk. It’s also then impossible to access any of the Norton applications. Booting from the Ghost 10 CD and restoring the C drive from the latest back up is the only solution. A selective update from Symantec live update, without selecting the program updates is working as an interim measure.

An overcast Wednesday
Our immersion heater has stopped working, a check revealed that the main switch is faulty. A trip to the local Focus diy store to buy a new switch. I replaced the switch and everything is now working.
A mixed Tuesday
I called in to Cardiff this morning and test drove a Nissan Patrol SGX GR with a 4L diesel engine, it’s a bit of a monster but I decided to buy it, I haven’t driven anything quite that large for some time, it needs a little TLC but the price was very tempting – might regret it later. Just need to make some room on the drive for it. 🙂
A mixed Monday
Overcast early with sunshine later. Lunch at John & Ida’s in Pontypridd. A quiet and relaxing bank holiday.
A bright Sunday
I went to Makro this morning to do a little bit of shopping, it was almost deserted which made a pleasant change. Lunch with my mum and David at John and Ida’s in Pontypridd.
An overcast Saturday
A trip to Pontypridd for some shopping, other than that a quiet day.
Happy 21st Birthday Paul
My son Paul is 21 today, happy birthday!
I dropped some images of the floral decorations I’d taken last Saturday at Bryngarw House off at Talbot Florists in Talbot Green this morning. Shopping at Tesco and a trip in to Pontypridd. Called in to see my mum, then a quiet evening relaxing.
A damp Thursday
I took the green BMW 525i down to Chris Babbage’s garage in Cardiff this morning for Chris to sort out the brakes. I caught the train back from Cathays to Treforest and then the bus to Church Village. Collected the car this evening, new track rod end, brake pads and discs. It’s much nicer to drive now!
A colder Wednesday
David ran out of petrol again this morning so I had to go out yet again with my petrol can, he refilled it this time. 🙂
Obtained a number of insurance quotes for my photographic equipment, professional insurance is still very expensive but a necessary evil, I’ve decided to stay with my current insurers.
A wet Tuesday
Called in to the RS trade counter this morning to collect an order, I then went to Leekes to do a little shopping and have lunch. I bought a new wireless front door bell that has a chime unit that plugs into the mains, the old unit ran on batteries with a very short life and no warning when they were flat. Returned home and installed the new door bell, it works very well.
Claire has a brand new blog, so I’ve been catching up on her trip to Scotland and looking at the images she’s posted.
