An overcast Saturday

Our washer-drier packed in the other day, I had a look at it and the timer/controller needs replacing, as the cheapest price I could find for the part was around £170 we decided to purchase a new machine, the current one is over 6 years old. We bought a replacement on-line from Comet, with a saving over the shop price of around £60, it’s scheduled for delivery on Monday.

David replaced the rear whell bearings on his Focus and called in to return my hub puller. 🙂

A dreary Thursday

I completed the upgrade of this blog to WordPress 2.0.1 – everything seems to be working correctly. It’s a rather manual process, involving deactivating plug-ins, deleting files, uploading files, running an update script, re-activating plugins and updating any customisation. It was quicker than the previous upgrade to 2.0, I must be getting the hang of it!

Now that I have my mobile phone working again I decided that I’d add the ability to my phone to keep up to date with the various blogs that I read. I signed up for a free account with litefeeds you select the blogs and other feeds you would like to monitor and synchronise with your mobile phone, install a java applet on the mobile phone and it’s done, couldn’t be easier!

An overcast Wednesday

I received my Motorola V600 mobile phone back from Tesco’s repair centre today, a very fast turnaround. I use Motorola Phone Tools to synchronise the mobile phone with my Outlook contacts and calendar so it was a simple restore to retrieve all my personal data (I cleared it from the mobile phone before sending it in for repair). I then just had to re-enter my email account and password details to have everything back working. It’s nice to have my contacts and diary back on the mobile phone. I also use a Palm Tungsten C with WiFi connection when I’m not at my desk, while this offers much more functionality than my mobile phone it’s nice to have all the essential information back on one device.

Called in to see my cousin Glen at his garage in Graigwen, he’s still up to his eyes with work but he’s hoping to be able to sort out my red BMW before too long.

Welsh class this evening, quite a long session some of it is starting to come back after the long Christmas break – Dwi’n hoffi dysgu Cymraeg ar y dosbarth nos. 🙂

A cold Sunday

Lunch at the Hollybush in Church Village (once again!), roast beef followed by apple pie and custard.

Stuart and Karen called in this afternoon to collect their Jorgensen E series wedding album and parent albums, they were really pleased with the albums.

Another busy Friday

Called iover to see my mum this afternoon (she was out when I called this morning, she’s always adamant that she never goes out but I always seem to call when she is!).

Delivered Andrew and Lisa’s wedding and parent albums, they’re delighted with the Jorgensen E series albums and the quality and saturation of the images. Delivering finished albums and seeing the couples’ reaction is one of the best parts of my work as a wedding photographer. 🙂

Called in to Tesco Extra at Talbot Green on the way back from Andrew and Lisa’s and did a little bit of shopping.
