A fairly quiet morning performing housekeeping tasks on the pc and web server.
Welsh class this evening, it doesn’t seem to get any easier but it’s still fun!

I downloaded Opera mini the free mobile phone web browser to my mobile phone today, it works great, much better than the browser supplied with the phone.
A trip to the bank and the rest of the day catching up with personal correspondence.
Received a telephone call from the Comet delivery driver at 9:55 to let me know that the washer drier would be with us in ten minutes. Ten minutes later and the machine had been delivered and the old one taken away, a few minutes later I’d unpacked the new machine and plumbed it in.
The weather is a little milder today so I turned the water supply back on to the outside tap and pressure washed both of the 5 series BMWs, they certainly needed it.
David called around this evening and monopolised the computer.
We took my mum out for Sunday lunch at the Hollybush.
David and Paul called in this afternoon.
Our washer-drier packed in the other day, I had a look at it and the timer/controller needs replacing, as the cheapest price I could find for the part was around £170 we decided to purchase a new machine, the current one is over 6 years old. We bought a replacement on-line from Comet, with a saving over the shop price of around £60, it’s scheduled for delivery on Monday.
David replaced the rear whell bearings on his Focus and called in to return my hub puller. 🙂

It’s my mum’s birthday, she’s 77 years young today!
A trip to the bank and post office to tax one of the cars and evening shopping at Tesco Extra.
I completed the upgrade of this blog to WordPress 2.0.1 – everything seems to be working correctly. It’s a rather manual process, involving deactivating plug-ins, deleting files, uploading files, running an update script, re-activating plugins and updating any customisation. It was quicker than the previous upgrade to 2.0, I must be getting the hang of it!
Now that I have my mobile phone working again I decided that I’d add the ability to my phone to keep up to date with the various blogs that I read. I signed up for a free account with litefeeds you select the blogs and other feeds you would like to monitor and synchronise with your mobile phone, install a java applet on the mobile phone and it’s done, couldn’t be easier!
I received my Motorola V600 mobile phone back from Tesco’s repair centre today, a very fast turnaround. I use Motorola Phone Tools to synchronise the mobile phone with my Outlook contacts and calendar so it was a simple restore to retrieve all my personal data (I cleared it from the mobile phone before sending it in for repair). I then just had to re-enter my email account and password details to have everything back working. It’s nice to have my contacts and diary back on the mobile phone. I also use a Palm Tungsten C with WiFi connection when I’m not at my desk, while this offers much more functionality than my mobile phone it’s nice to have all the essential information back on one device.
Called in to see my cousin Glen at his garage in Graigwen, he’s still up to his eyes with work but he’s hoping to be able to sort out my red BMW before too long.
Welsh class this evening, quite a long session some of it is starting to come back after the long Christmas break – Dwi’n hoffi dysgu Cymraeg ar y dosbarth nos. 🙂
I completed a little more coding for my web site, a mainly quiet day.
Breakfast at the bakery in Church Village this morning.
I received a telephone call from Amy – I’m photographing her wedding at Bryngarw House, to schedule our pre-wedding meeting.
