Claire and I visited Llantrisant today, we had a browse around the Model House and then had lunch at the Butchers followed by a drive through the common. David joined us this evening.

A mainly dry Thursday
Claire and I spent the day at the Rhondda Heritage Park it’s a really interesting place and well worth a visit.
A wet Wednesday
I had breakfast at the bakery in Church Village this morning then walked to the bank. Called in to see my cousin Glen at his garage in Graigwen, he’s still up to his eyes but hopefully he’ll be able to have a look at the red BMW in a couple of weeks. Welsh class this evening, more work on the current round of written assessments.
Claire rang to let me know she’s on her way from Norfolk, she’s spending the next week here. 🙂 Claire arrived at around 10 o’clock.
A damp Tuesday
I was in Cardiff this morning as I had to drive David in, his car appears to have a broken gearbox. 🙁 Called in to Piccadilly Photographic’s new premises in Llanishen, then visited the bank. I called at Makro on the way back to do a little business shopping.
A bright Monday
Another wedding booking in the post this morning. We had lunch at Leekes and then a major food shop at Tesco in Talbot Green.
Met with another lovely couple this evening who are planning their wedding next month.
David called in to use the computer.
A relaxing Sunday
A quiet morning then lunch at the Hollybush followed by a brief visit to Sommerfield to buy a few essentials, a little work on the computer followed by a relaxing evening.
A bright Saturday
Checked out of the Travelodge and called over to Spixworth for a quick visit before driving back home. Arrived home at around 6 o’clock fairly shattered.
A very difficult Friday
In Norwich for the inquest into James’ tragic motor bike accident. Can’t say it was a pleasant experience far from it but fortunately we all had people with us helping us to get through it. The coroner conducted the inquest in a very sensitive way. The outcome was a verdict of accidental death with no blame being attributable to any party. James struck a lorry which was pulling out from a lane on a bend, the lorry was completely across the carraigeway as James came around the bend on his motor bike, like so many accidents a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
A cold Thursday
Travelled to Norwich today a bitterly cold day and some brief heavy snow during the journey. Checked in to the Travelodge.
Wednesday and it’s all white outside
Dydd Gwyl Dewi – St David’s Day
About half an inch of snow this morning which cleared around ten o’clock when the sun came out. Visited Leekes and had a look at shower cubicles and bathroom suites and also had lunch there. On the way back called over to see my mum but as usual see was out!
Good news from Vonage, they’ve reduced the monthly fee for the service from £9.99 per month to £7.99 per month, even better value!
Es i dosbarth nos yn y clwb rygbi, Pentre’r Eglwys noswaith yma, dysgais i Cymraeg. I went to Welsh class at the Rugby Club in Church Village this evening.
Called in to see my mum this evening – she was in!
