A new year

I was privileged to photograph so many terrific weddings last year, it was a lovely time.

The Passat was back from the garage just before Christmas with a new timing belt, and a large number of new valves, the largest garage repair bill so far.

Christmas was over all too quickly, it was great to spend time relaxing with the family. I unfortunately had the delightful norovirus on Christmas Eve.  I cooked the family lunches on Christmas Day – traditional turkey with all the trimings and Boxing Day – leg of lamb and turkey.

Since Christmas I’ve been fairly busy with my accounts,VAT and tax returns, just a little more work to complete and then I can file my tax return on-line.

A busy few weeks

I’ve been very busy recently with quite a lot of commercial photography and personal injury assignments. There’s also been quite a lot of work to complete with the various courses I’m studying which has left very little spare time, luckily the courses come to an end before the busy wedding season.

Yesterday I went to Roath Park in Cardiff to take some photographs of Adam and Sally who are getting married next month. Adam and Sally are having a signing frame at their wedding and wanted a photograph of the two of them for the frame which will be replaced after the wedding with a photograph of them taken on the wedding day.

This is the image they’ve selected for their signing frame.

Blog Fixed!

Something must have gone wrong with the last upgrade to my blog software as I haven’t been able to write any posts since the upgrade last month! I finally had some free time this morning to re-download the upgrade files, FTP them to my server and repeat the upgrade process. Everything seems to be working and I can once again write posts. 🙂

It’s been a busy month with lots of work on album designs, making up albums and print orders. This is a really busy time for album manufacturers and often low stocks and long delivery times reflect this.

I’m enjoying the new Welsh class, the pace is fairly brisk and it can be quite a struggle to keep up, there’s quite a lot of spoken work and homework twice a week so it’s quite intensive.

Claire and Lee stayed with us last weekend it was really nice to see them again.

Pencoed Classic Car Show

David, Hannah and I went to the South Wales Classic Car Club’s annual show at Pencoed College this afternoon, as usual it was very well attended with an excellent range of old and not so old classic cars. Nice to see so many models that I once owned there, including MGC roadster, Van den Plas Princess, Jaguar XJ6 Series III, A40 Farina, Austin 1100. The weather was rather miserable today but there still seemed to be an excellent turn out at the show.

Another wedding booking received this weekend for a wedding later this year. 🙂

A busy Saturday

I went over to my Mum’s this morning to strip the wallpaper off her living room. I used the wallpaper steamer and all the old paper came off fairly easily.

Andrew and Natalie called around this afternoon to confirm their album order, I completed the final set of changes and created the album and print orders.

Jason and Jennie emailed a small number of amendments to their initial album design, which I completed and up loaded to my web site for them to approve.
