Temperatures around 35 degrees Celsius today, very warm. Work continues on the conservatory, the roof is now on and it’s mainly the glazing and cutting the entrance from the dining room. David and Hannah called in this evening. Claire rang she’s driving down on Friday to spend the week with us. 🙂
A sweltering Monday
Work started today on errecting the conservatory. David called in, he’s now driving the BMW 318 but he’d overfilled the radiator so there was hot coolant pouring out from the radiator. Called over to my Mum’s and cut her front lawn. The BMW 525i has been returned from the bodyshop, it’s currently on my Mum’s drive as with all the building work at home we need to keep our drive clear.
A very hot Sunday
A visit to the local Focus DIY store at Upper Boat to buy a new rotary clothes line. Lunch at John and Ida’s in Pontypridd. Called in to see my Mum who has just returned from a week in the Costa del Sol, she had a lovely time.
A hot Saturday
Some DIY shopping at the local B&Q in Pontypridd this morning, we now have the preservative for the fences and shed and a sprayer to apply it with.
A very warm Friday
I fitted the glass in the shed this morning. Still need to fix the roofing felt but I need to demolish the old shed before I can do that.
A warm Thursday
The new shed arrived today and I have most of it assembled, just the glass and roofing felt left. Tiring work putting it together though!
A warm and dry Wednesday
I bled the central heating system this morning and tested it after removing the radiator that was in the dining room. The outside wall was cut ready for the conservatory installation next week. The new shed has been arranged for delivey tomorrow morning.
No Welsh class this evening as Laura, Julie’s daughter, is going on holiday to America tomorrow.
A mainly dry Tuesday
The Yell salesman called again today with some ideas for advertising, this is his suggestion.
I had a little play around in Photoshop and prefer this
However I’ve yet to be convinced that spending nearly £2,000 on advertising with Yell is what I really want to do!
David and Hannah called in this evening.
A wet Monday
I removed a central heating radiator from the dining room today, it was positioned right in the middle of where the new French doors are going to gain access to the conservatory. The new garden shed is scheduled for delivery this week and as soon as I’ve put it together and demolished the old metal shed with the remains of the old fences we’ll have enough material to fill a third skip. My household agenda is looking fairly full for the next few weeks – painting the new fences, putting together the new shed, running armoured cable for the new shed supply, fitting roofing panels and guttering to the car port.
A mainly dry and warm Sunday
Work continued on the new fences and carport frame, nearly completed. Lunch at home today. I gave Paul a lift back from Pontyclun this evening.
