A lovely Wednesday

A bright sunny day. A visit from the Yell rep this morning to talk about Yellow Pages advertising. David called in and I ended up buying him breakfast at the bakery in the village (again!), he has a streaming cold. Installed Ghost 10 on the main computer this afternoon and it’s been running most of the day creating new images and restore points to the new additional external hard disk.

Welsh class this evening and I’ve now completed all the assessments for this year. πŸ™‚

A bright Tuesday

I went into Caerphilly this morning to buy a new larger camera bag, now all I need to do is work out at the gym to be able to carry it when it’s full of equipment. πŸ™‚

I’m also rapidly outgrowing the capacity on my USB external drives so I’ve also bought a new 300 Giga Byte drive that will be a lot more convenient.

A bright sunny Monday

Installed some more software on the new laptop computer, should get everything I need on there soon!

David’s car finally passed the MOT. πŸ™‚ Booked the Passat in for a service on Friday and I’m hoping that the red BMW will be in the garage next week.
A photographic trade show at the Miskin Manor hotel this afternoon, made a change being there and not photographing a wedding, met up with many familiar faces most of whom were other South Wales members of the Master Photographers Association. An interesting range of displays and demonstrations from a number of major suppliers.

A relaxing evening.

A bright Sunday

A quiet day at home today. I installed Norton Internet Security 2006 on the desktop pc today, for a few years I stopped using Symantec products as I found they were often a serious resource eater on my computers, however the latest versions seem to perform very well. I’ve now removed AVG anti-virus, Agnitum Outpost Firewall and Spamweed and we’ll see how the more integrated approach in Norton works, so far so good.

A bright Saturday

A fairly quiet day, upgraded to Norton Internet Security 2006 and Ghost 10 on the new laptop. I’m very impressed with the latest version of Ghost in particular the incremental back up feature.

A trip to Caerphilly Garden Centre and B&Q in Pontypridd this afternoon, with a quiet evening relaxing.

A wet Friday

I had an appointment with the hygienist first thing this morning in Cardiff, called into Tesco at Upper Boat on the way back for breakfast and a little shopping. I called over to see my mum this afternoon and she was actually at home! Installed a few more programs on the new notebook, just about all the key software I need is now on it. Submitted my VAT return on-line using the e-vat system, I just wish entering up all my sales and purchases etc. into the accounting package was as quick and easy.

An overcast and damp Thursday

I bought David breakfast at the bakery in Church Village and then helped him change the horn on his car. More work on my accounts, everything is now fully up to date. πŸ™‚ I spent an hour or so doing the initial set up for an on-line shopping cart for another photographer in Essex this afternoon, the joys of broadband internet , I can sit at my desk in South Wales and do a little work for someone more than a hundred miles away.

A dull Wednesday

A fairly busy morning finishing off the set up of the new laptop, a few hours entering up my accounts just the bank reconciliations to complete now and everything will be fully up to date. Called into Piccadilly Photographic in Cardiff to collect a few items and then delivered a print order to Neil and Michelle. Welsh class this evening, should be having the spoken Welsh assessments next week.

A very wet Monday

David’s car still hasn’t quite met the emissions standard for the MOT. πŸ™ I’ve installed most of the essential software on my new laptop, so far so good.

I met with Amy and Alistair this evening for their pre-wedding session, they’re getting married next month at Bryngarw House. They’re a lovely couple and I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding.

Gave Paul a lift home from the Rhondda this evening.
