David called in this morning and we swapped the wheels around on the red BMW and towed it on the A frame to David’s. Called in to see my mum this evening.

A wet Monday
A damp and dreary start to the week although the rain stopped by late morning. A visit to the district nurse to have my dressings changed, I may only need one more visit. 🙂 David called in as he needed yet another tyre for his Ford Focus!
A warm and sunny Sunday
I finished re-wiring the trailer socket on the Nissan Patrol this morning. I met Lisa (one of our brides from last year) at Tesco in Talbot Green this morning and then on to the Bridgend Classic Car Show at Pencoed. A very large selection of classic cars from vintage to modern at the show this year which is organised by the South Wales Classic Car Club and held at the Pencoed Agricultural College.
Here’s a photograph of the engine bay of an immaculate MGC roadster (I owned one myself for many years and it was a terrific car with bags of character).
And here’s a photograph of a Ferrari engine bay.
A drive around the coast, stopping at Southerndown before returning home for a relaxing evening.
An overcast but dry Saturday
A normal start to the day without a visit from the district nurse. I did a little more work on the Nissan Patrol this morning and a trip to the local Halfords to buy a few bits and pieces. A quiet evening relaxing but a phone call from Paul just before midnight asking for a lift home from Barry.
A warm and sunny Friday
The usual start to the day with a visit from yet another district nurse (Claire), some progress as they aren’t changing the dressing again until Monday. I did a little bit of work on the Nissan Patrol this morning.
A warm Thursday
My day started with the daily visit from the district nurse, I generally don’t see the same nurse two days running as the local pratice has a team of district nurses but Sarah called again today. I seem to be healing well after the surgery and they should be able to change the type of dressing soon. I had a long overdue haircut from Adrian in Taffs Well now that I’m able to get about again and called in to see my mum on the way back. I went to Celtic Tyres in Bridgend this afternoon to have the wheels balanced on the Nissan Patrol as my local tyre service were having problems getting a good balance yesterday. I met with Mark and Laura again this evening for their pre-wedding session, they’re getting married at the Manor House Hotel in Penarth in a couple of weeks.
A mild Wednesday
My day started as usual with a visit from the district nurse to change my dressings. I did a little work on the Nissan Patrol this morning and had new tyres fitted this afternoon. I went to Welsh class this evening, quite a struggle getting back into the swing of things after a break of a few weeks. David and Hannah called in this evening.
A much colder Tuesday
The daily visit from the district nurses to start my day. David called in this morning, ordered some new tyres for the Nissan Patrol, they’ll be ready tomorrow. A fairly quiet day relaxing.
A bright Bank Holiday Monday
My daily visit from the district nurse. We did some shopping at Tesco in Talbot Green and then on to Leekes for lunch. David and Hannah called in this afternoon and we called over to see my mum this evening.
An overcast Sunday
My daily visit from the district nurse. I went out for lunch to John and Ida’s in Pontypridd, it’s nice to get out of the house. 🙂 A quiet day relaxing.
