We had lunch at John and Ida’s in Pontypridd, unfortunately we couldn’t persuade my mother to come out for lunch with us. 🙁 Shopping at Comet – bought a new laptop 🙂 and Tesco at Talbot Green. Checked the CO emissions on David’s car this evening and got absolutely soaked in the process. 🙁

A cold Monday
Claire and I went to Newport this morning and travelled on the Newport Transporter Bridge it’s a superb way to travel over the river and a real snip at 50p each way. Here’s a photograph of Claire taking some photographs at the bridge.
We then had a walk around the grounds of Tredegar House and then to Cardiff for lunch at KFC followed by shopping at Tesco and a visit to Cefn Parc to take fresh flowers.
We all went to the Showcase Cinema this evening to watch The Hills Have Eyes it has some very good effects.
A bright Friday
Claire and I visited Llantrisant today, we had a browse around the Model House and then had lunch at the Butchers followed by a drive through the common. David joined us this evening.
Wednesday and it’s all white outside
Dydd Gwyl Dewi – St David’s Day
About half an inch of snow this morning which cleared around ten o’clock when the sun came out. Visited Leekes and had a look at shower cubicles and bathroom suites and also had lunch there. On the way back called over to see my mum but as usual see was out!
Good news from Vonage, they’ve reduced the monthly fee for the service from £9.99 per month to £7.99 per month, even better value!
Es i dosbarth nos yn y clwb rygbi, Pentre’r Eglwys noswaith yma, dysgais i Cymraeg. I went to Welsh class at the Rugby Club in Church Village this evening.
Called in to see my mum this evening – she was in!
A damp Sunday
We had lunch at home today and watched the rugby, a great match and Wales won Wales 28 Scotland 18. 🙂
I’m currently looking for a colour laser printer for general printing rather than continuing to use my A3 Canon i9100 inkjet which has a voracious apetite for ink cartridges. I see that Samsung have a new personal colour laser printer, the CLP-300 with a price of £179.99 including vat. It is apparently the smallest colour laser printer currently being manufactured, unfortunately I can’t find anywhere that yet has one in stock.
A cold Sunday
Lots of frost on the cars again this morning. Lunch at the Hollybush in Church Village (getting to be a habit!). A relaxing afternoon and evening. David called in, raided the fridge. 🙂
A much colder Thursday
Shopping and lunch in Caerphilly A delivery of prints from the lab as they’re now open again after the holiday break. Another fairly quiet day.
A very cold Thursday
A heavy frost overnight outside it looks almost like we had a mild snowfall. Quite a thick layer of ice to scrape off the cars this morning. We had a refuse collection today, the wheelie bin was certainly full with all the extra Christmas waste. Called in to see my cousin Glen at his garage, as usual he’s snowed under with work. Wandered around Leekes in Pontyclun, didn’t buy anything, except lunch. Some light snow here this afternoon.
A busy Sunday
Spent most of the day processing the images from Stuart and Karen’s wedding which was at Bryngarw House.
Here are a couple of images from Stuart and Karen’s wedding.

A relaxing Sunday
Lunch at the Hollybush once more today! Julie (my Welsh tutor), her mum and aunt were also there. They were serving home-made apple pie and custard, it was delicious.
Upgraded the PHP version on my local Apache server, not very exciting!
Neil and Michelle have arranged to come and see me tomorrow evening to talk about the photographs for their wedding album.
