Rachel and Ross’s Wedding Rehearsal at All Saints Church Pen-Y-Fai

I don’t often attend wedding rehearsals but I always like to visit the wedding venue a few days before the ceremony. When I was invited to attend the rehearsal it was an excellent opportunity to combine a visit to the venue with meeting the minister, groom’s parents, best man and ushers in advance of the wedding.

The minister is terrific and is allowing photographs (preferably without flash) during the ceremony.

Fingers crossed for a fine day on Saturday.

Back home again

Visited the doctor last week and was put on antibiotics over the weekend but things were much worse by Monday so I was admitted again to Ward 7 at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and in theatre that evening. The staff on Ward 7 are really lovely. I was discharged on Tuesday afternoon and the district nurses are visiting each morning to dress the wound. The sister visited this morning and she isn’t happy with the wound so she may refer me back to the hospital depending on how things progress over the next few days. 🙁

A wet and windy Thursday

I took my Mum to the Royal Glamorgan Hospital this morning, she was convinced that she’d be there for a few hours so insisted that I didn’t wait and she’d phone when she needed a lift home. Three quarters of an hour later she rang to say she was ready. 🙂

I received another delivery from Jorgensen today so it will be all systems go over the next few days to complete the remaining album orders. More fun with the 3M repositionable pressure mounting film. 🙁

A wet Monday

It’s been a very busy few days. Sam and Sophie called around a few days ago to collect the DVD slideshow of their recent wedding and sat with my notebook computer and selected the images for their wedding album. I emailed them an initial design for their album the next day and they emailed back a few minor changes that evening, the final design was then approved and the files sent to the lab for printing. I’ve also been busy making up albums and processing orders from our web galleries.

The work on the fences has been completed, the only outstanding work is a new roof for the car port and the roof and window blinds for the conservatory which are hopefully being fitted at the end of the week. Here are a couple of snaps that show part of the conservatory interior.

This is where I spend most of my working day! Colour laser printer on the left, then the notebook computer which is used for most tasks including email, image processing etc., unfortunately the colours on the notebook aren’t terribly accurate so images are viewed on the Eizo monitor to the right. When not processing images the Eizo is used to view the Linux file server (which is located upstairs). The album display shelves are on the right.
